Turkey’s first Madame Tussauds Museum to open its doors in a few days in Istanbul!
“The museum will exhibit 55 local and international wax figures from the worlds of politics, sports and culture” said the Manager Mr. Suner, on Tuesday’s event, to the press and agency representatives. The museum will be located on Istanbul’s teeming Istiklal Street in the newly renovated Grand Pera building’s 2,000-square-meter area, encompassing two floors.
The World’s 21st Madame Tussauds museum will feature wax figures of Süleyman the Magnificent, Fatih the Conqueror, 13th-century poet-philosopher Mevlana Rumi and the Ottoman Empire’s most renowned architect Mimar Sinan. Of course, Atatürk’s wax figure is expected to be the most intriguing, especially for local visitors. Footballer Arda Turan and basketball player Hidayet Turkoglu’s statues will be representing local sport celebrities. Steve Jobs, Lionel Messi, Madonna, Usain Bolt, Justin Bieber, Rihanna, Marilyn Monroe and Muhammed Ali are among the international stars that will be featured.
Istanbul’s Madame Tussauds will offer visitors a fun, interactive and unique experience, where they can get a close-up look at their favorite figures and snap interactive photographs with the most famous individuals in culture, politics and sports.
